paintingmissouri.com BILLY O' DONNELL WORK FOR SALE: $1800* Billyo O'Donnell's perseverance, along with his good-natured personality
and innovative style, gave him the title of founder of several main artistic
events within St. Louis and Missouri. He also became recognized as the
first artist to have ever painted the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra as
they did a full dressed rehearsal for him to create from life. He has
since painted a series of the Milwaukee Symphony in 2005 and the Roswell
New Mexico Symphony in 2003. His work can be seen along side a collection
of 50 of Americas leading landscape painters in a traveling exhibit across
America titled “Sea to Shining Sea” organized by the Stockton Museum of
Art. He has been invited to the Laguna Art Museum paint out for 8 years
painting among some of Americas top landscape painters. He recently received
the award of best body of work at the first Maui 2006 invitational. His
dedication to and creation of art within his community recently earned
him the 2003 Arts Advocacy Award for the State of Missouri. He recently
finished a book "Painting Missouri" which features a painting from each
of Missouri's 115 counties. In the fall of 2004 he painted a series along
532 miles of the Missouri River, which result in a one-man show at the
Missouri State Museum within the Rotunda of the State Capitol in Jefferson
City. |
